Random Traveler Thought

I’m breaking from the trip reports format for a bit to toss out a thought, well, more of a question.

Every time I plan a trip, I get caught up by the FMS (Fear of Missing Something). I read the guidebooks, I search the web, and then I want to DO ALL THE THINGS! (And see all the things! And eat all the food!)

The worst part is that it cuts into my ability to enjoy the activity I’m doing because I’m worried about getting to the next thing. This is not the point of vacation.

How do I avoid this? Should I be prioritizing one or two things a day? I think I’ll still have the FMS while doing those things. Should I schedule in relaxation time? Should I just learn to relax?

Help me, Internet! You’re my only hope.
